CRS Calls for Action on Palestine/Israel Peace
Catholic Relief Services says TAKE ACTION NOW! Call your Representative (202-225-7000) or visit the CRS Action Center to send your Representative a message, urging them to sign the Ackerman/Boustany letter to Secretary Rice. The letter includes:
- Support for the upcoming Annapolis Meeting which presents a critical opportunity for the United States, Israel and Palestinians to pursue peace in the Holy Land;
- Recognition that sustained and high-level U.S. diplomacy will be necessary for a successful meeting and the realization of a two-state vision;
- Encouragement for assistance aimed at improving Palestinian governance and revitalizing the economy to help bolster peace efforts;
- Promotion of Congressional support for the Annapolis Meeting and U.S. peace efforts reflecting support among Americans for U.S. engagement to resolve the conflict.
