Thomas Leckey Forum on Affordable Housing

George Mason University
Arlington Campus
3401 Fairfax Drive (Room 329)
Arlington, Virginia

The Alliance for Housing Solutions (AHS) invites you to the Fifth Annual Thomas Leckey Forum on Affordable Housing on Saturday, October 27, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The Forum, free and open to the public, will be held on the Arlington Campus of George Mason University, 3401 Fairfax Drive (Room 329). Continental breakfast will be served and parking is free (entrance on Kirkwood Road across from St. Charles School).

This year’s Forum subject is “Affordable Housing in Our Neighborhoods.” It will address what affordable housing means for neighborhoods—the residents and their homes–and how neighbors and developers can work together to create communities that residents of all incomes can enjoy. Community leaders, citizens interested in the affordable housing challenge, neighborhood residents and housing practitioners are encouraged to join the dialogue on this important issue.

Presenters will include affordable housing residents, architects and developers who design and build affordability into their projects, and proponents of innovative approaches to ease the housing crunch. Discussions will follow the presentations.

The Leckey Forum is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the current issues of affordable housing; attendance will make us better advocates for improving the amount and quality of affordable housing in our community.

Please RSVP TODAY to AHS at 703-536-7694 or to execdir@allianceforhousingsolutions.org.
