¡Presente! Being Reprinted: Get Your Copies Today
SOA Watch put out a call to grassroots activists and organizers with the request to order the fall issue of ¡Presente! – the Newspaper of the Movement to Close the SOA in bulk to use it for outreach work in their communities.
We were aiming to increase the distribution to 50,000 copies but we received such an amazing and overwhelming response that the print-run of the fall 2007 issue of ¡Presente! exceeded 100,000 copies! This is a testament to the grassroots organizing power of our movement. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.
The SOA Watch office ordered 800 copies of the newspaper but we ran out within 2 days. Since then, we have received several additional bulk order requests for boxes with 150 copies from people around the country. We are now doing a second print run of the fall issue because we want to fill those requests and spread the word about the School of the Americas and about the upcoming November Vigil as far and wide as possible. However, the printing cost is higher if we only print a small number of newspapers. We want to print at least 3,000 additional copies of ¡Presente! in order to get a good price. We would like to ask people who didn’t order copies of ¡Presente! from the first print-run to order now one or more boxes with 150 copies for the cost of printing and shipping ($27 per box) and to join the grassroots mobilizing effort for the November Vigil.
The presses will roll again next Friday. Please order your box of 150 copies for $27 by Thursday, September 21, 2007.

The bulk order boxes from the second print-run will get shipped directly from the printer to your home by the end of this month.
