CRS Urges Senators to Support Peace Between Israel and Palestine

In consultation with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Catholic Relief Services (CRS) representatives met in May with several Congressional offices to advocate for a robust peace process and two-state solution to the conflict. In response to Senate Resolution 224 recently introduced by Senators Feinstein and Lugar, CRS continues to work with the Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) in urging Senators to cosponsor the resolution that calls for a two-state solution to the conflict. To date, 36 Senators have cosponsored. As the August recess unfolds, CRS will continue to work with USCCB and CMEP in urging Senators to support this resolution and a comprehensive diplomatic process that will yield a just and peaceful resolution for both Palestinians and Israelis.
